It must have been a bug for you because I tried it and I asked my Guildmates to try as well and of the 11 people that tried to buy from the trader NONE were able to get anything other than the ones they already had or had unlocked and either traded or sold.

The rune trader doesn't always have every rune in the game. I've been able to buy runes I haven't unlocked at all. I know this because I have barely unlocked any runes. When I went to the rune trader there were many runes there, but not all of them. Supply and demand. Someone has to sell the rune trader a rune of superior sword mastery for there to be a rune of superior sword mastery for you to buy. Give it time.
P.S. Lovin' the new patch.

From what i understand, the rune trader is like a shop. If someone sells a rune to the trader, he has one to pass on to someone else.
If nobody sells him a superior vigor for example, nobody else is able to buy that rune from him due to none in stock.
Very clever idea
The soc system. I shelved the idea of using it a couple of weeks ago but i tried the new way out earlier today. I must say that i like it alot more than just spamming and hoping for the best.
At least i can now help to kill the boss and aid my team and not worry about the capturing.
As for barrage and the cutscenes, lol, i got mine long before the patch
Not my problem but i hope it gets sorted for those who want it. Personally i would rather kill markis than some big fat hungry worm.
From the soc and the runes pov, i do applaud arenanet. Oh and the henchmen flying thingy.
I just hope you move that collector away from the bridge in mineral springs because my healer got stuck on him and our whole team died because i didnt realise. I was like "wtf, why did we die?" lol, damn henchmen.

Perhaps we could create an online universe were people can log into and complain endlessly? You could become an Elite Complainer and enter the Hall of Complainers and win favour with the God of Whinging. Teams of complainers could band together and then moan at each other. Have I any backers?

Quote of the Day, right n'yah.
While I'm tired of the nerfs to farming (Because despite how some of you feel, I DO enjoy the site of enemies toppling down in unison, not to mention the huge dance of numbers on the screen), complaining will get me nowhere. So it's harder to get what you want. While I'm not really for the farming nerfs, I can understand that it was necessary (though unpleasant).

heck, i can't even farm for charr hide when i took a group of henchman and went hunting for them. I did the Anthena Ashes quest and boy there was boat load of charrs.... funny thing, i couldn't kill them all and end up dying like 6 times. With a negative 60% tag on my life, i decided that farming and doing a quest at the same time is not worth the trouble.
I'll redo everything again today!

People whine. First they whine at the problems, then they whine at the solutions of the problems; Anet just can't satisfy them.

you do realize that it's different groups of people with different problems....ArenaNet jumped to appease them...why wouldn't they do the same for the people that dislike the patch??? They shoulda left well enough alone.

You took the words right out of my mouth. Focusing too much on one side or the other seriously underestimates this game. As a primary PvE player, I've tried my hand at the PvP side of things, and although it's interesting and a refreshing change from my normal pace, it doesn't consume me. At the end of the day, I'm content to go back to defogging my map and looking for quests, skills, collectors, etc. There's so much here, it's really a richly rewarding experience, and I truly believe that anyone who tore through the main story just to arrive at his goal (be it completing the main storyline or unlocking the skills they wanted for PvP) is cheating himself out of an enjoyable experience.
By the way, I like the idea of a Hall of Complainers. The competition would be fierce, that's for certain.

/agree to a certain extent...
Some of the monsters that dropped great things weren't all that easy to solo (hydra's) in case... why did they completely gank the drop in almost all explorable area's... People are going to farm no matter what, and we will always find a better place to find better items at.
Why don't they just "up" the difficulty of certain monsters, in example... the hill giants in riverside... why not change their name to "inster something here" Giants... and just up the difficulty... i mean, all it's really doing is "Rewarding players for their skill" if they can solo these harder monsters... i don't think they really addressed the problem... they're just going to make all us farmers look for more/better area's to farm, untill there arent any places with good drops anymore... I would hope they don't drop the "farming" of underworld/fissure... it's the only reason to go to those places repeatadly... and yes, trying to unlock items/runes is farming... so meh...
What i think they've done is rewarded all those others that did farm these places for a long time, since now... nobody else can catch up to their wealth... they exploited, and they won. Leaving all us casual gamers in the dust, when soon prices of items are going to sky rocket, since there won't be as many coming into the market.

You are exactly the kind of player A-net wants. You paid your money, now you are going to get off their servers, but you are still going to buy any updates.
YOU are a developers dream.
